I'm a good kid. Usually. It was just this once that I slipped up and did something bad. Or two things bad. Same difference. It started like this:
So I was grounded. It was my first time being grounded, and it was because I told my mom I cleaned my room, but I actually just shoved everything under my bed. I was only grounded for three days, but tonight was the only night I could see X Men Avengers 4 with my friends. It was going out of theaters tomorrow, we had already bought the tickets, and i just couldn't miss it! I explained this to my mom, but she wouldn't listen. "If you wanted to go, you shouldn't have lied to me." She kept telling me. I went into my room and decided there was no other choice. I was going to sneak out. I started planning my escape. If the movie started at 9 pm, and it takes 20 minutes to walk there, then I should leave at 8:35 so I could meet my friends outside. I hadn't told my friends that i was grounded yet, so lucky for me, I didn't have to call them and say that I was coming now. I planned to jump out the window. My bedroom was on the first floor, so my window was only four feet from the ground.
That night after dinner, I ran to my room to get ready, but i didn't even even open my door when my mom called me to come do the dishes. It was 8:20! I didn't have any time to waste. I ran back to the kitchen and did the dishes in 10 minutes. It was 5 minutes until I scheduled to leave. I grabbed my purse and started to twist the knob to open my window. CREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAK! I winced. I tried turning the knob slower but the noise got louder so I started cranking as fast as I could. It was dark out and a cold breeze came into the room, making me shiver. I grabbed my jacket and started to take out the screen, but then I heard my moms footsteps. I threw my purse and jacket, under the bed and ran to my dresser, pretending to pick out PJ's. My mom opened the door and looked in.
"Goodnight Sarah." she said. "It's going to get cold in here with that window open."
"That's how I like it." I replied. My mom shrugged and left the room. I picked up my jacket and my purse and took the screen out. I was a little behind schedule, so I got up on the window sill and got ready to jump down. To be honest, I was scared. It was really dark outside, and i couldn't see the ground. My brother told me that if anyone jumped out of this window, they would never come back. But I knew he was lying so so I dangled my feet down as far as I could, and dropped.
All the sudden I was falling. It felt like I was dropping from the sky, and I forgot to bring a parachute! I knew that the ground was right below my window, so, I had no idea what was happening. I had been falling for about 1 minute when I started to seriously panic. What if my brother was right? Where am I going and what is happening to me? People will start to worry and search for me right? It was another 30 seconds before I dropped to the "ground". Right away, I noticed something was different. A butterfly flew over my head and I almost fainted. At looked as if and airplane was going to land on my head. That's when I realized, I was really small! Like the size of an ant! I was on a gravel road, and I trying take in my surroundings when this loud rumbling noise started to make me shake. I looked up and saw a huge black wheel coming towards me! It was a car. I tried to run but I wasn't that fast, and right then and there I knew I was going to die. I started to flail my arms as I was running, and all the sudden, I was in the air! What? I have wings? I went with it and flew away as fast as I could, just barely avoiding the cars windshield. Out of breath, I landed on a fence with a bunch of cows inside. A fly landed next to me.
"Why are you over here? The cows are much better to be on then this fence. If you go up a level it'll shock you to death, literally." I sat on the fence in shock. Why was a fly talking to me, and why could I understand him? I decided to ask him what was going on. He answered with, "Your in Fly land. Duh. You probably hopped out of your window, and now your here. This happens mostly to kids."
"What?!" I shouted. "I don't want to be a fly!" Is there ANY way I can get home. Please. PLEASE help me." It looked like the fly rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Whatever. But don't be a pain. My name is Javrefly #8765. You can call me #8765. Now. See that farm house over there? You need to fly in through that window and out the door. It's the girls room, and she hates flies so its not exactly safe in there." I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. "Now its one of our customs to be on the back of the black calf when the sun is behind the first mountain, so I'll assist you till then." I nodded and flew off after him towards the farm house.
#8765 and landed on the girls window sill, and then #8765 showed me a little crack in the screen, and he and I pushed through. The girl was on her bed, watching a movie. We flew down to he ground, and started to walk across to the door. We were almost at the door, when we heard a growling sound from the other side of the door. The girl got up from her bed, and walked to the door. #8765 flew up to the wall and I just started up at her. #8765 was screaming to get out of the way, and just in time I did, for she almost stomped on me. I flew up onto the wall and shivered in terror. The girl opened the door and let in this HUGE monster, and I recognized it as a dog. Another fly flew into the room and landed on the girls plate of crackers on her bedside table. The girl slammed the door and looked at me.
"Argghhhhhhh!" She said in a loud tone of voice. "I have a screen to keep flies out! Why are they in here?!" She shouted. she lifted up her hand and brought it down sharply on #8765. #8765 dropped to the ground, and I screamed in terror. I flew over to #8765 and saw that one of his legs was bent the wrong way, and he was wheezing.
"I'm fine." He said. "Go out the door and I'll fly out of here. My wings still work."
"Thank you so much #8765. You risked your life for me. I really appreciate you. I slid under the door, and I started to float up. This time, I knew what was happening, and i couldn't wait to get home.
When a minute and a half passed by, I was sitting on the window sill in my jeans with my purse. My first thought was, "my brother was wrong, I did come back." I was happy to be back in my world. From that day on, I never smacked another fly, or jumped out of any more windows. And just so you know I did get to watch X Men Avengers 4 with my friends, but it was 6 months later in my living room.
